A day in my life: 50 outfits in one day?

Hey guys!

Welcome to my new series on my website where I talk about the behind the scenes of my photoshoots.

Today, I want to write about my experience during my OnePlusKids photoshoot, which consisted of 50 outfits!

So naturally, I always prepare the night before a big shoot. How do I prepare you might ask?

Well, I create and practice my own sets of poses that I’ll use for the job. After that it’s collecting my shoes, clothes and accessories that I need. Fun fact: the project leader always tells you what you need to bring, so it’s important to not forget it. That’s why I’m constantly prepared.

On the day of the shoot: It’s an early 6 a.m when I wake up with full excitement and start my day. Although my mom would have wanted more extra hours of sleep, we got into the car and drove to the location.

When we got there, I was so surprised to see the building. I’ve never seen anything like it before. It looked very sketchy to me. The blue and green colors sent shivers down my spine, but we went it anyway.

I was immediately comforted by the scene inside the building. I saw a cool grandiose gate made of marble and gold, flowers of different shapes and sizes and my all-time favorite: a piano!

When I came in, everyone was very nice to me and said hello. A few of them even asked me if I could speak Bahasa, to which I reply: Bisa!

The clothes looked really pretty because of all the different patterns and bright colors. Did I mention I love patterns?!

Just right before we began taking pictures, I was sent to hair and makeup to get glam ✨.

The poses that I’ve practiced the night before was used for their website. After that we went on to do the platform bit of the photoshoot. So I was freestyling posts for Instagram, TikTok and Shoppee. I’m very good at freestyling when I’m given the chance, but I also love to think about my poses beforehand.

During lunch time I had one of the most amazing lunches I’ve ever had! It was honey chicken with potato chips and shredded coconut with eggs and rice. Hmm I’m getting hungry again…

After lunch we continued the shoot for the platforms where I could play with the props that they had: balloons, teddy bears, plants and even a bubble machine!! Oh and did I mention I used the piano too?

At the end of the day 50 outfits can be very long and hard, but I learned to have fun, enjoy it and not stress too much about it.

The shoot was a humbling experience and I’m very happy to be able to add it in my modelling portfolio.

For the next shoot, I promise I won’t judge a building by its colors.

That’s for now, I’ll see you next time on my future adventures!

Byee,

Love Lavender.
